SMART HUMAN/MACHINE/HUMAN INTERACTIONS IN THE DIGITAL SOCIETY

Research Activities

An efficient and natural interaction between humans and artifacts requires a better understanding of human actions and behavior, as well as the design of natural and friendly interfaces.  The information and knowledge manipulated by these systems have to be properly organized, processed and protected. When those artifacts and digital devices are disseminated, networked, and sometimes mobile, it will be necessary to provide for their connectivity, for knowledge sharing and access. Their interactions with people will also have to be considered more globally.

Illustrative usage cases for the project are the new services induced by the digital society for e-health, including the ageing society and autonomous living,  but also and more generally the enhancement of  the well being of citizens..

The research program is organized along the five following axes :

  1. Modeling of humans
  2. Interfaces and Interaction with humans
  3. Humans at the convergence of digital and real environments
  4. Autonomic Distributed Environments for Mobility
  5. Human autonomy and e-health
