Human autonomy and e-health
Human centered engineering and digital systems obviously find applications in the domain of healthcare, which is a major issue of the beginning century, worldwide, from a social, economical and industrial point of view. A major evolution to be brought in this domain is personalization, namely the capacity, for technological devices or services to closely adapt to a particular individual need corresponding to a specific, time evolving pathological configuration.
This program addresses, two main challenges: a) innovative medical devices, from assisting robots to implanted sensors and bio-mechatronic embedded systems, are to be synergistically integrated in close intimacy with human bodies, and, b) personalized care in the context of e-health that can be brought at home to the disabled, the elderly under mediatized supervision of distant medical expertise.
Main Challenges:
1. Innovative medical devices
2. e-health
